How It Works: 4 Automatic Heating Modes, with your convenience (and your pocketbook) in mind

A lot of corn stoves are “all or nothing”. They either run at full output, or they’re off. Well, this isn’t very efficient!

Firstly, they are using more corn than they probably need to (costing you money).

Secondly, the fire will go out shortly after heat is no longer called for (which means you need to go out and re-light it when you want more heat!)

The EZ Burn stove doesn’t have these problems. Your stove is hooked directly up to the thermostat in your house (or shed, greenhouse, etc.) and it is smart enough to know which mode is called for:

Mode 1 – Fire Maintenance

In Fire Maintenance mode, there is no heat called for by the indoor thermostat. Timers kick on to maintain the fire in the pot – and keep the stove ready for action when the time comes!

Mode 2 – Make-up Mode

In Make-Up mode, the stove detects heat loss from heat exchangers or pipes - and makes up the difference. This highly efficient burning stage maintains an even temperature over a long period of time.

Mode 3 – Demand Mode

In Demand Mode the stove kicks on when the thermostat in your house calls for heat. The stove will bring the temperature up to the appropriate level.

Mode 4 – High Mode

High Mode is like turbo for your corn stove! Even a conventional furnace can’t provide this feature! It only comes on when you need more heat than Demand Mode can provide. This happens when more than one building calls for heat, or the thermostat quickly calls for a lot of heat.

Designed for long term reliability

• We use soft metals instead of stainless steel. Why? Stoves that use stainless steel have a limited lifetime because corn eats away stainless. With an EZ Burn stove, you don’t have that problem.
• The fire pot (where the corn is actually burned) is designed to self-clean. That means no clinkers for you to clear out (which are a major problem with other stoves), just pure black ash.
• The stove is completely surrounded by 110 (small) or 210 (jumbo) gallons of water (including the doors), which is then surrounded by more insulation. This is an ultra-efficient way to protect from heat loss and makes the stove cool to the touch on the outside.
• You will never be out of heat. Your stove comes with a failsafe relay to switch over to the building furnace should corn in the hopper run out, or should the stove fail for unforeseen reasons.

The most amazing warranty in the industry (that we know of)

Since we have had our stove under development for 5 years, we know what it is capable of. We also know that most other corn stove companies don’t trust their stoves as much as we do!

And we back it up:

• 5 year warranty on the pot and water chamber. These are the “guts” of your corn stove, the most important pieces. And if they fail - you’re out of heat!
• 2 year warranty on all mechanics. We have less moving pieces than other corn stoves. And the moving pieces we do have are built to last!
• 1 year warranty on all electronics. In order to make your stove more reliable we use relays and timers instead of computer boards. They work better and longer in this hostile environment.
